The Waverley escorted Cunard’s newest vessel down the Firth of Clyde this evening as crowds gathered along the Clyde.
Queen Anne visited Greenock’s Ocean Terminal on Wednesday, bringing with her approximately 3,000 passengers.
Having joined the fleet in 2024, she is currently Cunard’s second largest vessel in operation, after Queen Mary 2.
PS Waverley escorted the ship from Greenock, past Cloch Lighthouse and wave her off as she headed for Southampton.
The paddle steamer has previously escorted various famous cruise ships, including the world-renowned Queen Elizabeth 2.
The special sailing comes as Waverley starts her 2025 summer season on the Clyde coast, which runs from June 27 to August 25.
Over the next eight weeks, she will offer a wide variety of cruises, welcoming passengers aboard at 18 ports around the Clyde coast, including regular cruises from Greenock's Custom House Quay.
