Two Gourock Firefighters Honoured For Decades Of Service
Bowman Rebecchi team member and Crew Commander David Jenkins has been recognised for 30 years of dedicated service with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, alongside fellow Gourock firefighter Crew Commander Craig Devlin, who has completed 20 years of service.
The two firefighters were honoured at a ceremony held at the Gourock Community Fire Station on George Road, marking a combined 50 years of commitment to protecting communities across Inverclyde and responding to emergencies when people need them most.
Area Commander Eddie Kenna, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service’s local senior officer for East Renfrewshire, Renfrewshire and Inverclyde, said: "I would like to congratulate Crew Commander David Jenkins and Crew Commander Craig Devlin on receiving their long service medals at Gourock Community Fire Station.
"Together, David and Craig have dedicated 50 years of service to protecting communities across Inverclyde and responding to emergencies when people need us most.
“The awards provide an important opportunity to recognise the contribution our firefighters make to their communities.
"I would like to thank David and Craig for their outstanding service and congratulate them on this well-deserved recognition."
