A talented local football team is celebrating a historic and invincible season after winning all 13 of their matches during the 2024/25 campaign, scoring an astonishing 200 goals.
Greenock Morton U10’s Girls Squad delivered dominant performances throughout the season, blending attacking flair with defensive resilience in what has been a remarkable run of form.
The team, led by coaches Gary Dewar, Ewan Buchanan, Christian Ashurst, and Sam Magee, provide twice weekly training sessions for more than 15 girls, who compete in the Johnstone and Paisley Burgh league at Parklea in Port Glasgow each Sunday, playing 7-a-side.
To help support the continued development of the squad, Bowman Rebecchi provided support towards new training coats for the girls, who have been further supported through their fundraising activities and generous donations from parents.
Week in and week out, the squad showcased their talent, dedication, and love for the game, training hard each week at various sites across Inverclyde. Their goal difference of +181 stands as a testament to their consistency and dominance on the pitch, with players travelling from as far as Argyle and Bute to play for the team.
Proud sponsor, Bowman Rebecchi, is a strong advocate for grassroots sport across Inverclyde and played a key role in supporting the team this year alongside Clyde Eats. The team also featured in Bowman Rebecchi’s recent advertising campaign, highlighting its support for the local community.
Reflecting on the achievement, Andrew Bowman, Director at Bowman Rebecchi, said: "We’re incredibly proud of what the girls have achieved this season and congratulations to each of the players.
“The team’s unbeaten record, goal tally, and team spirit are superb, and they are a credit to themselves, their coaches, and their families.
“It’s been a privilege to support and watch them and to witness such promising young talent developing in our community.
"We wish the team continued success for the new season and their future challenges.”
