Inverclyde's Best Home Judge Marco Rebecchi On Property Market

Marco Rebecchi

A well-known Inverclyde businessman whose passion for property evolved when he was still at school said Inverclyde's Best Home will help to show off the area's 'hidden gems'.

Marco Rebecchi is proud to be one of the judges in the competition and said he's very excited to be involved in showcasing the huge selection of properties we have here on our shores.

The competition seeks to champion the area by featuring its amazing properties in a competition, with locals casting a vote for their favourite before three expert judges visit and crown one Inverclyde's Best Home.

The architect and business owner said he is looking forward to casting his expert eye over homes the length and breath of the area.

The Greenock Telegraph is on the hunt for Inverclyde’s Best Home 2025.

We’re looking for proud homeowners across Inverclyde who have poured heart and soul into their properties. No home is too big or too small — if it’s special to you, it could be special to us too. Enter here

Marco, 47, who is an architectural technologist, said: "I'm excited to be part of this competition - it's a fantastic opportunity to shine a light on the incredible variety of homes that exist right here in Inverclyde.

"I've always had a love for property and design, so getting to experience some of the area's most exceptional homes up close is a real privilege."

Marco was born and raised in Gourock and attended St Ninian's Primary School and Gourock High School.

His passion for property and design started when he was at school, and at just 17, he began his career with a local architectural practice. Over the next 20 years, Marco rose through the ranks to director level, gaining a wealth of experience and industry insight along the way.

In 2013, he founded Rebecchi Architectural, an independent practice dedicated to supporting clients with a wide range of projects - from small home extensions, to bespoke new builds, and large-scale commercial developments.

Building on this strong foundation, Marco partnered with Andrew Bowman in 2020 to launch Bowman Rebecchi – Inverclyde’s Home of Property.

The company specialises in residential and commercial sales and lettings, and also offers factoring services.

In his role at the helm of Bowman Rebecchi alongside Andrew, Marco knows Inverclyde's property market inside out and said things are looking good.

He added: "Inverclyde's property market is incredibly buoyant, with a fantastic variety of homes to suit all tastes. Whether it's a traditional house set within beautiful grounds in Kilmacolm or a modern property with panoramic views over the Clyde, there is truly something for everyone."

Marco said in his role as a judge, he's most looking forward to seeing the amazing range of properties on show.

He added: "Inverclyde has such a diverse architectural landscape. There's something special about discovering homes that reflect real creativity, history, and vision.

"Inverclyde has a rich tapestry of properties, and I expect we will see many of these shine through in this competition.

"I'm expecting a great mix - from stunning, character-filled Victorian villas to sleek, ultra-modern bespoke designs."

Marco said he hopes the competition will help to assert Inverclyde's position as an amazing place to live.

He added: "It will help put the area on the map as one of the west of Scotland's most desirable and affordable places to live, and give people a chance to discover properties they might never have known existed."
