Angela McEwan – Eldon Street, Greenock

This west end home has been transformed to its former glory whilst meeting all the modern needs of a family home.

It was a labour of love for ScotRail manager Angela McEwan, who says that nine years on she feels like the house 'gives her a hug' every time she walks in the front door.

The 14 rooms take you on a tour of far flung places, waking up in Thailand in the master bedroom or experiencing Indonesia from the table in the dining room.

It's the small touches that give it something special: there's even a dressing gown with the name of the house, Copthorne, in the bedrooms.

Jackie McKeown – The Esplanade, Greenock

The concepts of ‘conservation and restoration’ have helped Jackie McKeown craft her dream home on Greenock’s Esplanade.

Jackie has lived in an amazing upper conversion, which sits within a beautiful traditional building, for nine years.

Since taking on the property, Jackie, who is an artist and Pilates teacher, has filled the walls of the home with her own artwork.

She has retained the original 1970s units in the kitchen and bathroom, and has updated the spaces with colour and style.

Wendy Gilmour - Kilmacolm

This lovingly restored Victorian villa in Kilmacolm blends tradition with creative flair, thanks to the vision of Wendy Gilmour and her husband Scott.

Set in a peaceful village street, the home features an extended open-plan kitchen, a unique ‘conversation pit’, and a beautifully landscaped garden.

With original features thoughtfully preserved and modern touches throughout, the property reflects Wendy’s eclectic, family-focused style.

Clare and Panos Arhimandritis – Union Street, Greenock

Clare and Panos Arhimandritis have lived in a beautiful main door conversion on Union Street for 20 years.

The Greenock couple had to start from scratch when they took on the property - and with love and dedication, they have created an amazing family home.

One of the most impressive features of the property is its adjoining self-contained flat, which has been crafted from the original servants’ quarters.

Clare and Panos are particularly proud of the spectacular garden, which is full of colour and texture.

Iris Potter – Alderwood Road, Port Glasgow

Lovingly maintained by sisters Iris and Janice, this stunning multi-level home in Port Glasgow is a heartfelt tribute to their dad, Stewart Potter.

Designed and built by their late father, the deceptively modest exterior opens into a spacious, light-filled sanctuary with panoramic views, modern décor, and thoughtful touches throughout.

Featuring four bedrooms, three bathrooms (including a sauna), and a sunlit stairwell, this unique property combines personal history with architectural flair.

John Thomson – Brisbane Street, Greenock

John Thomson’s steampunk-inspired home is a hidden gem of Greenock, with a unique home full of eye-catching details lying behind the front door.

Throughout the two-bed apartment there are 16 different types of wood used for flooring, furnishing and decorative details.

The hallway features antiques from around the world including Venetian masquerade masks from Italy and a vintage Heraldic Clarion doorbell and a birdcage elevator door which leads into the bathroom.

There are also many personal elements inspired by John’s late wife Alexandra, such as a Victorian desk which lies in the office.

Duncan and Junn Telfer – Cloch Lighthouse, Gourock

Gourock couple Duncan and Junn Telfer have transformed Cloch Lighthouse into a ‘practical and usable’ home.

Captain Duncan bought the Inverclyde landmark in 1985, and over the last 40 years he has completely remodelled the property.

The building is steeped in history and Duncan and Junn are proud to have retained the property’s heritage while crafting a beautiful modern home.

An incredible open plan kitchen and dining space which offers spectacular views out over the Firth of Clyde is the centrepiece of the property.

Robert and Lynn Rideout – Newark Street, Greenock

Robert and Lynn Rideout's fairytale home, inspired by period TV dramas like Downtown Abbey and Bridgerton, is a triumph in restoration - and a dream come true.

Hair stylist Lynn told the Tele how all the furniture and fittings are second-hand, with husband Robert upcycling it all.

She says they are keen to show what people can do with their imagination to create something incredibly special.

The home has many favourite features throughout, including the magnificent public rooms which show the house in all its splendour.
