The Terraza Del Clyde music festival concluded on Saturday at Fort Matilda, Greenock.
Performers included DJ M4CHA and DJ Frankie Elyse; Love Shaun; Illyus & Barrientos; KC Lights and DJ Bruce Glenny with over 600 revellers enjoying the two day event.
Some of the festival-goers were far-travelled. Returning for her third year with her husband Anthony, Cath Lawler from Bolton said: “The mix of DJs, bands and musicians was brilliant and the facility and set-up was very professional and impressive.’
A group who travelled from Inverurie, Aberdeenshire, even turned up wearing shirts with Bruce Glenny’s face on them.
Victoria Wilson from Gourock said: “My husband Mark and I have supported Bruce from the start of Terraza Del Clyde. We feel we’ve been on the journey with him. Terraza Del Clyde keeps improving and this year was definitely bigger and better. Well done to those who organised it.”
Jim Rankin from Bellshill said: “I’ve been to the three Terraza Del Clyde gigs. This one was bigger and better. The Laurettes and Slix on day one were great.
“Thankfully it dried up later on day two and the crowd really loved KC Lights and Bruce Glenny. Bruce’s great music finished off a brilliant couple of days.”
Alan Crighton, president of Greenock Wanderers, said: “Terraza Del Clyde was a great community partnership event for our club and raised vital funds. I would personally like to thank our committee and the club members who worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth event. I also must thank the people in neighbouring properties for their cooperation and forbearance.”
Bruce Glenny said: “Despite the rain on day two it was another hugely successful Terraza Del Clyde. So many people have thanked us for a great two days. I’d like to thank them for coming along even in the rain.
“Unfortunately I can’t help the weather and it was very mixed but we’re already in discussions about taking Terraza Del Clyde to the sun.
“I want to thank Dylan McFadyen and Martin Tegg along with every other member of the Summers Friends Productions team, all our sponsors including Bowman Rebecchi who have been a great support and mentors.
“I also must sincerely thank the president, committee and staff of Greenock Wanderers Rugby Club for their hard work, unwavering support and the fact they welcomed the event.”
Event sponsors were Bowman Rebecchi, Tonino’s Pizzas, Shipyard Gin, Clyde Eats, McGills Group, Inver Heat, Clyde Metals, Blairs Windows & Doors, Barber & Groom and Ramblings Recipes.
